These terms govern your use of Abroad — a travel eSIM data service operated by Clavis Collective. By creating an account or buying a plan, you agree to them.
Abroad sells prepaid eSIM data plans for travel. An eSIM is a digital SIM that installs on a compatible device and connects you to local/regional carrier networks. Coverage, speeds, and network availability are provided by our carrier partners and are not guaranteed in any specific location. Check your device is eSIM-compatible and network-unlocked before buying.
You sign in with your email and a one-time code — keep access to that inbox secure. You're responsible for activity on your account. You can delete it any time in Account → Delete my account.
Prices are shown in USD and charged at checkout via Stripe. The price you see at purchase is the price you pay. Your bank may apply a currency-conversion fee that is outside our control.
Because an eSIM is delivered instantly, our refund promise is simple: a full refund within 30 days for any eSIM you have NOT installed. Once an eSIM is installed on a device it has been used/consumed and is non-refundable. If a plan fails to work due to a problem on our side, contact us — we'll replace it or refund it.
The referral program awards store credit — a balance usable toward future Abroad purchases. It has no cash value, isn't transferable or withdrawable, and may be adjusted or reversed if the underlying order is refunded or the program is abused. We may change the program's rates or rules at any time.
The service is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Clavis Collective isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the plan in question. Nothing here limits rights that can't be limited under applicable consumer law.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and by applicable Canadian federal law.
We may update these terms; the date above reflects the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
